Essential Functions:- Developand manage the mechanical/electromechanics/electronics supplier base andsupply chain for assigned projects including escalation of quality &logistics issues
- Lead/ support negotiations with suppliers for assigned commodities to achievethe best price, quality and schedule
- Supportpurchasing activities for cross-functional product development programs
- Utilizeorganization-wide purchasing policies and ensure compliance
- Workwith Quality to develop and maintain supplier performance
- Coordinatethe qualification of new suppliers
- Researchnew sources of materials, supplies, and services making recommendations toreduce costs and improve quality
- Maintainall required records of purchases, prices, and deliveries
- Serveas technical resource in matters related to changing market conditions
- Participationin cost reduction activities to meet Purchasing targets
- Coordinateand balance workload across Advance Purchasing Team to meet new programtime lines
- Required Skills and Knowledge: Advancedknowledge of supplier development and sourcing in a manufacturing environment
- Previousexperience with board-level electronic, PCB and electromechanicalcomponent is preferredSAP ERPexperience is preferred
- Advancedcomputer skills, including the use of Windows, email and Microsoft Office
- Advancedverbal communication skills, including negotiation and influencing
- Ability toestablish and maintain effective working relationships with seniormanagement, supervisors, vendors, and employees
- Demonstratedproject management skill
Required Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or related field preferred 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing and electronic component purchasing environment desirable
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibility
