Automotive Service Technician – Automotive Retail

Diagnose and repair used vehicles to CarMax quality and safety standards Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs efficiently Use diagnostic tools and service information systems to troubleshoot issues Document work performed and parts used in repair orders accurately Collaborate with service advisors and teammates to meet customer expectations Follow all safety, environmental, and compliance procedures in the shop Participate in ongoing training and certifications to advance technical skills Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for tools and equipment Automotive diagnostics Brake systems service Engine repair Electrical systems troubleshooting HVAC systems service Vehicle inspections Use of OBD-II and scan tools Service documentation Preventive maintenance Hydraulic and suspension repair Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE A-series certifications (A1–A8) preferred Valid state automotive safety and/or emissions inspection license where applicable Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Completion of accredited automotive technology program preferred
