Position:
Data Engineer Compensation: $65 - $85 /hour, depending on experience Location: Denver, Colorado Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Engineer to join their team! This is a high-impact opportunity supporting a newly formed exploration-focused data initiative. You’ll help build the data foundation behind large-scale analytics, integrations, and pipeline development across complex technical datasets. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Design and build scalable data pipelines and architecturesIntegrate data from APIs, databases, flat files, and streaming sourcesSupport near real-time analytics and operational data workflowsCollaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and data teamsDevelop automation and BI solutions for business usersEnsure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systemsContribute best practices for data engineering and process improvementEvaluate emerging tools and technologies for future use Required Qualifications & Experience:8+ years of relevant data engineering experienceStrong experience with large oil and gas datasetsAdvanced SQL skills with complex querying and transformationsProficiency in Python and data libraries like pandas and numpyHands-on cloud experience in Azure, AWS, or GCPExperience with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQueryBackground building ETL or ELT workflowsAbility to work independently in ambiguous environments Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience with Kafka, Flink, or Azure Event HubsFamiliarity with dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, or SSISExperience with Denodo, Trino, or StarburstKnowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQLExposure to Palantir FoundryExperience with seismic, SCADA, or 3D geo modelsPrior work in exploration or geoscience-focused teams Perks & Benefits:3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insuranceVoluntary, Short-term and Long-term disability insurancePaid time off, 401k, and holiday payWeekly direct deposit or pay card deposit If you are interested in learning more about the Data Engineer opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
