Better benefits start with strong partnerships. Benafica helps employers offer health benefits that fit their people and their budgets. Through CHOICE Arrangements (formerly ICHRA) and QSEHRA administration, our BEN360 platform, and hands-on support, we help employers and brokers make benefits easier to understand and manage. We’re a Minnesota-based team that serves employers and advisors nationwide, and we’re growing through the people who advise employers on benefits. We’re looking for a Broker & Strategic Partnerships Manager to grow our broker and strategic partner relationships across the Central Region. You’ll introduce partners to Benafica, help them recognize opportunities within their client base, and give them the knowledge and support to move those opportunities forward. You’ll own a regional partner strategy end-to-end, from first conversation to a partner who is activated and sending referrals. You understand the employee benefits business, take time to learn what partners need, and turn productive conversations into lasting relationships and measurable growth.
What You'll Do:
Build strong broker relationships. Connect with insurance brokers, employee benefit consultants, agencies, and strategic referral partners across the Central Region. Create a focused regional growth plan. Identify priority partners and markets, and organize your outreach to produce a steady, high-quality referral pipeline. Identify and develop employer-adjacent partners such as PEOs, payroll and HRIS providers, accounting and advisory firms, trade and nonprofit associations, chambers of commerce, and carrier or TPA relationships. Lead partner meetings, presentations, demos, and webinars, and help brokers position CHOICE (Formerly ICHRA) and QSEHRA in front of their clients. Show BEN360 in action with platform demonstrations that connect Benafica’s capabilities to the needs of brokers and their employer clients. Manage the full partner lifecycle: outreach, education, onboarding, activation, and ongoing engagement. Become an expert in Benafica’s solutions and in the ICHRA and QSEHRA landscape, including how brokers are compensated and how the broker’s role evolves in a defined-contribution model. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to hand off partner-sourced employers smoothly, and with Customer Success and Operations so those employers (and their brokers) have a great onboarding experience. Bring partner feedback, competitive intelligence, and market insights back to Product, Marketing, and leadership. Track and report on pipeline, partner activation, referral volume, and regional growth.
What You'll Bring:
5+ years of partnership sales experience, ideally in benefits, HR tech, insurance, or health tech.
A track record of developing productive partner relationships and meeting or exceeding sales goals. Experience selling or partnering around benefits, HR, or insurance products.
Strong communication skills and the credibility to talk with brokers, consultants, and employer decision-makers.
A builder’s mindset: comfortable creating process and playbooks in a small, fast-moving team. Comfort with travel for conferences, partner meetings, and events (about 20%)
Preferred Experience:
Existing relationships with brokers, consultants, or agencies in the Central Region. Familiarity with CHOICE arrangements (formerly ICHRA), QSEHRA, or other defined-contribution health benefits.
