Description:
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring medical/surgical experience and a TX or compact RN license. Details Med/Surg unit (4N) within a hospital setting with 32 beds and 50 staff members Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2 PCTsPatient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights Unit performs surgical procedures including kidney transplants Patient population may include transplant, dialysis, and diabetic patients Uses Welch Allyn vital signs machines, iPhones for communication, and radios with headsets Meditech EMR used on the unit Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AMRequired to work at least every other weekend No on-call requirements
Requirements:
- Active TX or compact RN license requiredBLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience requiredACLS certification preferred
- Experience with transplant, dialysis, and diabetic patients preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 monthsUS Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
