A/V Integrator

Role Description: The A/V Integrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and integrating audio-visual systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, lighting controls, and video conferencing equipment in residential and commercial environments. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing pre-wire and final installation work, testing and troubleshooting system components, and ensuring all equipment operates to design specifications. The A/V Integrator will collaborate with project managers, designers, contractors, and clients to deliver systems that align with project requirements and aesthetic goals. The role also involves documenting installations, providing basic end-user training, and supporting ongoing system maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications: Strong proficiency with Audio Visual (AV) Systems and integration, including system design understanding and equipment configuration. Hands-on experience with Video Conferencing solutions and Projectors, including installation, calibration, and connectivity. Knowledge of Lighting control systems and their integration with broader automation platforms. Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for AV and control systems, including diagnostics, repair, and performance optimization. Familiarity with low-voltage wiring, cabling standards, and rack building. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with multiple trades and stakeholders. Comfort with client-facing interactions, including explaining system features and providing basic user training. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local job sites as needed. Previous experience in AV integration, electrical, or related technical fields; relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, manufacturer-specific) are a plus.
