Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Purpose:
- The driver's primary purpose is to transport goods.
- Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Completes thorough pre-trip & post-trip inspections.
- Records time worked using electronic device
- Uses all personal protective equipment properly
- Loads and unloads cargo safely, efficiently and effectively
- Follows traffic laws and client on-site regulations
- Effectively operates vehicle in adverse road and weather conditions
- Reports all accidents, near misses and safety violations
- Communicates with dispatch via phone & messaging regarding location, loads and time worked
- Attends mandatory safety meetings
- Keeps truck cab neat and tidy
- Fuel truck when nearing empty and frequently checks and replenishes fluid levels
- Completes company & client paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Communicates with client representatives in a respectful, professional manner
- Other duties as assigned

Valid Class A CDLCurrent valid medical certificationTwo years of experience as a Class A CDL DriverExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read, write, speak and understand the English languageAbility to effectively use application to scan bar codes, type notes and navigate through applicationsAbility to read a map or receive directions over the phone or electronic tablet deviceAbility to work under extreme stress and small spacesAbility to multi-task and easily problem solve during high stress situations
Physical Requirements:
Most work is performed in extreme temperature environments. Incumbent may be exposed to loud noises, extreme cold or heat, rain, snow, sleet, hail, wind, dust, mud and uneven ground surfacesIncumbent may sit for long periods of time in a truckIncumbent may encounter rough, uneven roads that jostles operator up and down, side to sideIncumbent will lift weights up to 50 pounds and must lift, push, pull and hold heavy objectsIncumbent will climb stairs, bend, stretch and twist side to side daily Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to hear deadly gas monitor warnings The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the associate(s) in this job.
