Apprentice - Masonry Stone

Role Description: The Masonry Apprentice role is a full-time, on-site position based in Henrico, VA. The apprentice supports experienced masons with tasks such as mixing mortar, transporting materials, setting up and breaking down work areas, and assisting with brick, block, and stone installation. Daily responsibilities include using hand and power tools under supervision, maintaining a clean and safe job site, and following instructions to measure, cut, and lay materials accurately. The role also involves learning proper masonry techniques, reading basic plans or layouts, and adhering to safety procedures and company standards. This position is designed for individuals seeking hands-on training and long-term growth in the masonry trade.

Qualifications: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods. Basic construction or hand-tool experience (e.g., shovels, trowels, levels, wheelbarrows); willingness to learn masonry-specific techniques and tool use. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and commitment to job-site safety and cleanliness. Reliable transportation to Henrico, VA job sites and consistent punctuality. Good teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to receive coaching from senior masons.
