Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures from induction through recovery. Perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, radiology, laboratory testing, wound care, fluid therapy, medication administration, intubation, and anesthesia monitoring. Participate in specialized procedures such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions, dental procedures, feeding and chest tube management, physical therapy, and critical care. Perform laboratory testing including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, fecal analysis, ear cytology, blood smears, and more. Triage patients and help prepare animals for a successful transition from the clinic through discharge instructions and follow-up care. Work with animals across multiple species, including those who may be fearful, shy, or experiencing behavioral challenges. Use your technical knowledge and judgment to work independently while being part of an experienced, collaborative medical team. Continue building your veterinary knowledge through exposure to diverse cases and specialized care. Who Will Thrive Here?
