3rd Shift Manufacturing Technician 1 Position

Hourly Wage: $17.00 Non-Experienced Location: Delaware, OH

Job Summary: The Manufacturing Technician 1 supports daily production by loading and preparing materials, assisting the team lead in running a manufacturing line, and properly setting up and executing splices. This role focuses on building core technical skills, maintaining quality standards, and supporting overall line efficiency and safety. Consistently reading and following specification sheets and completing required quality certifications are ongoing expectations of the role.

Essential Functions: Load and prep materials for production. Assist the team lead in line operations. Properly set up and execute splices. Follow established procedures and safety protocols.

Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods. Handling and moving materials. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear. Plus lift up to 35 lbs. Key responsibilities and percentage of time spent on each: Set up and execute splices accurately 25%Prepare materials for production 20%Fill glue tanks safely and according to procedure 5%Assist with threading the machine 10%Clean the machine and maintain a safe work environment 5%Operate pallet jack, hoist, material elevator, or material carts safely 10%Measure product and enter quality data, using metric measurement tools 15%Preferred Qualifications/Professional Experiences/Years of Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools. Critical Competencies for Success (Leadership, Technical, Innovation and Work Complexity): Effective time management skills. Basic mechanical aptitude. Strong communication skills. Ability to learn and adapt to new technology. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Candidates must successfully complete a selection process that includes interviews, aptitude tests (for some positions), references verification, drug screening (US), and required background checks (including criminal).
