Assembler Helper

Responsibilities: Build industrial kitchen equipment for various facilities. Read blueprints to understand assembly requirements. Use hand tools and power tools effectively. Read measuring tapes accurately to prepare materials. Assist in preparing materials, including thin gauge metal and electrical connections. Learn to use a rivet tool and tack weld. Essential Skills Proficient in reading a measuring tape. Experience with hand and power tools. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Mechanically inclined. Additional Skills & Qualifications Carpentry or remodeling experience. Experience with tack welding. Proficiency with rivet tools. Experience with fitting or layout.

Work Environment The job is based in an open-air fabrication shop located in Houston, Texas, where stainless steel counters and kitchen equipment are manufactured. The facility is non-air-conditioned and consists of multiple buildings, with a large manufacturing area accommodating 60 employees. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional Saturday work from 6:00 AM to Noon. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77021.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
