APPLY NOW (opens in a new tab)Our client, a well-known fashion brand, is seeking a Production Manager to join their team on a temp basis in NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of 2-3 production associates through mentoring, training, and performance management
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in detailed production and time/actionmeetings to ensure seamless project execution
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiations, including costing discussions and strategic sourcing initiatives
- Provide innovative solutions for production challenges by monitoring procedures, testing protocols, and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with corporate production calendars and oversee all PLM cost sheet management
- Manage all product development for handbags, jewelry, and soft accessories inconjunction with raw material and tech design teams
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of production experience in fashion, apparel, or Non Apparel
- Expertise in handbag development, including understanding of leather
- Experience in product costing, manufacturing processes, and vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PLM systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and team management abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and action calendars and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with international sourcing and overseas manufacturing partnership
