Rigger PositionOlive Recruiting is seeking a Rigger to support a steel fabrication and erection client based in Manassas, VA. This role will support machinery moving, steel erection, and rigging operations on active job sites, working closely with Foremen and field crews to safely execute projects.

Washington DC metropolitan area/ Manassas, VA Position Type: Full-time, direct hire with client Schedule: Variable based on project demands (typical hours 6:00 AM 4:00 PM)

Responsibilities:
Assist with rigging and machinery moving operations using forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and other equipmentPerform bull rigging and support controlled movement, positioning, and placement of loadsWork alongside Foreman and crew to execute job plans safely and efficientlyAssist with leveling, aligning, and anchoring equipment during installationSupport steel erection and assembly activities as needed on job sitesFollow all safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and trainingMaintain clear communication with crew members and supervisors on job progressHelp load, unload, and secure equipment and materials for transportTravel to job sites and support all on-site activities as directedMaintain a clean and organized work area and assist with daily housekeeping dutiesComplete required paperwork and assist with basic job documentationQualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 2 years of hands-on rigging or machinery moving experienceExperience with bull rigging and manual load control techniques preferredFamiliarity with forklifts, skates, jacks, and basic crane-assisted rigging operationsUnderstanding of rigging safety practices and proper equipment usageAbility to take direction and work effectively as part of a teamWillingness to travel and work a variable schedule based on project needsStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
