Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician

ABM Industries is seeking a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operations across client facilities. In this hands-on role, you will perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate with vendors. You’ll lead and mentor technicians, prioritize work orders, and uphold strict safety and quality standards. Working in dynamic environments, you’ll help ensure clean, efficient, and compliant facilities while supporting ABM’s culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous learning. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems Lead, mentor, and support maintenance technicians, assigning and reviewing daily work Respond to and troubleshoot building system and equipment issues to minimize downtime Use CMMS to manage work orders, document repairs, and track parts and equipment Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services Inspect facilities for safety, code compliance, and equipment performance Follow and enforce all ABM and client safety procedures and OSHA requirements Communicate with site management on maintenance priorities, schedules, and status updates Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and energy efficiency Maintain tools, parts inventory, and a clean, organized work environment HVAC maintenance and repair Electrical systems troubleshooting Plumbing and piping repair Building automation systems (BAS) Preventive maintenance planning Mechanical systems (pumps, motors, fans) CMMS work order systems Safety and OSHA compliance Reading blueprints and schematics Vendor and contractor coordination Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EPA 608 Certification Journeyman Electrical or HVAC License (preferred) OSHA 10/30 Certification CMRT or CMRP (preferred)
