Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Registered Nurse for our outpatient clinic. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care including assessments, care planning, treatments, and education for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing triage calls, supporting procedures, administering medications, documenting in the EMR, and reinforcing discharge and follow-up plans while promoting safety, quality, and clinical excellence. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop patient-centered care plans Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures per protocol Document care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Triage patient concerns in person and by phone, prioritizing care needs Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff Support in-clinic procedures and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards Monitor patient response to treatment and escalate changes in condition promptly Reinforce discharge instructions and follow-up plans to promote continuity of care Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities Patient assessment Care planning IV therapy and medication administration Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Triage and patient prioritization Clinical procedures support Patient and family education Infection control and safety protocols Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration Vital signs and monitoring Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (MO or compact state) BLS certification ACLS preferred Specialty certification in ambulatory care or relevant field preferred
