Breast Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Methodist Health System seeks an experienced Breast Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in our Breast Center. In this PRN role, you’ll perform targeted and screening breast ultrasounds, assist with image-guided procedures, and ensure accurate documentation and image quality. Partner with radiologists and multidisciplinary breast teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting our mission-driven, faith-based environment and maintaining safety, privacy, and regulatory standards. Perform high-quality breast ultrasound exams following established protocols Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and interventional procedures Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety Optimize images and adjust equipment settings to ensure diagnostic quality Accurately document procedures and ensure proper labeling and archiving in PACS/RIS Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms, following infection control standards Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and breast center staff on coordinated patient care Support compliance with regulatory, safety, and privacy standards Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives Breast ultrasound imaging Patient positioning and care Ultrasound equipment operation Image optimization and quality assurance Biopsy and interventional ultrasound assistance Knowledge of breast anatomy and pathology Radiology workflow/PACS use Exam documentation and reporting Infection control procedures Radiologist collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) BLS/CPR certification State licensure if applicable Breast ultrasound specialty training Experience with PACS/RIS systems
