Mobile, ALQualificationsTo qualify, you should have:3 years of progressive marine experienceOR5 years of comparable construction trade experience Working knowledge of: Cabinet making CarpentryIndustrial insulationHVAC systems Basic mechanical aptitude and trade math skills Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and mechanical drawings Ability to interpret construction drawings and perform accurate material takeoffs
Job Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings with minimal supervision. Lay out, fabricate, and install:
Bulkheads:
- DoorsCeilingsShelvingFurnitureConsolesOther interior components
- Measure, fabricate, and install insulation and ductwork.
- Mark layouts, shoot pins, and insulate deckheads, side shells, beams, and duct systems.
- Measure, build, and install mounting pads.
- Install pipe insulation and fittings with clean, professional workmanship.
- Fabricate sheet metal using shears and brakes.
- Read both standard and metric tape measurements.
- Take drawings and materials to the job site and complete work independently.
- Install valves, air hangers, and other HVAC equipment.
- Lay out hangers, ductwork, and related components.
- Perform basic interior painting as needed.
- Complete work safely, accurately, and with minimal supervision.
