Core Duties Identify and resolve mechanical issues while performing regular service on Mercury outboard motors. Execute standard maintenance tasks and complex mechanical troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. Analyze and fix problems related to fuel, electrical, and steering marine systems. Handle engine rigging, full installations, and repower projects as required. Conduct thorough sea trials to confirm that all repairs meet quality standards. Document service history precisely and provide clear updates regarding repair status. Collaborate with the broader service department to ensure tasks are finished efficiently and meet high quality benchmarks. Help maintain a safe and organized workspace for the entire team.
Required Skills and Experience:
Ideally, three or more years of professional experience in marine or outboard engine service.
Extensive background working specifically with Mercury outboard products is strongly desired.
Proven ability to troubleshoot various mechanical and electrical marine components.
Possession of Mercury-specific certifications is considered an advantage.
Holding ABYC certifications is viewed as a positive asset.
Background knowledge regarding Suzuki or Yamaha outboard systems is also beneficial.
Capacity to manage and finalize repair tasks with minimal supervision.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
