Role Description:
The Licensed Massage Therapist will provide therapeutic massage services as part of an integrated care team at Cox Family Chiropractic. This part‑time, on‑site role is located in Brandon, FL and involves delivering individualized massage treatments to support patients’ recovery, pain relief, mobility, and stress reduction. Daily responsibilities include assessing patient needs, performing appropriate massage techniques, maintaining accurate treatment notes, and collaborating with chiropractic providers to coordinate care. The role also includes preparing treatment rooms, ensuring a clean and safe environment, educating patients on self‑care and wellness strategies, and offering professional, responsive customer service during each visit.
Qualifications:
Ability to deliver high-quality therapeutic massage services, including body massage tailored to individual patient needs.
Proficiency in specialized techniques such as Shiatsu and other clinically appropriate modalities.
Skills in stress management support and patient relaxation techniques within a healthcare setting.
Strong customer service skills, with a focus on clear communication, professionalism, and patient comfort.
Current state license as a Massage Therapist in Florida and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and contraindications relevant to massage in a chiropractic practice.
Ability to maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential patient records.
Capacity to work collaboratively with chiropractors and other team members in a clinical environment.
CPR/First Aid certification and prior experience in a medical or wellness practice are beneficial.
