An international manufacturer of automotive parts in the Northwest of Indianapolis area is seeking for a Production Manager. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in metal stamping operation.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
Supervise and lead production employees and provide guidance and training.
Monitor production schedules, staffing, and workflow.
Identify and resolve production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments.
Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.3+ years of experience in production or manufacturing management.
- Experience with metal stamping required
- Experience with welding, assembly, or similar manufacturing processes is a plus
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or quality systems is a plus.
- Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 30 pounds
