Are you a hands-on finance leader who wants full ownership of a family office's financial operations, not just one slice of it? 👀Ascendo Resources is partnering with a respected single-family office (~$1B in assets) to find their next full-time CFO / Controller. This is an accounting- and tax-heavy seat. It is NOT an investment-selection role. You'll be the financial backbone of a multi-entity structure and a trusted advisor to the principal.
Location:
Miami (preferred – Design District area) or NYC (Midtown), hybrid, with in-office presence when the principal is in town. NYC-based candidates should expect occasional travel to Miami. What you'll own: Accounting across LLCs, C-Corps, partnerships and trusts Cash flow, bill pay, wires and liquidity management The tax process, including K-1s and filings, working closely with outside tax advisors Entity structure maintenance and compliance Financial reporting delivered directly to the principal Supervising a full-time accountant, with additional finance support available
What you bring:- Single- or multi-family office experience (required)CPA strongly preferred; Big 4 / public accounting background highly valued7–10 years across accounting, family office and/or tax
- Hands-on tax knowledge: 754 elections, 1031 exchanges, PTE elections, Opportunity ZonesDeep comfort with multi-entity structures and K-1sA direct, confident communicator with polished executive presence
- QuickBooks Online experience a plus
