Employment + Labor Litigation Associate Attorney

The ideal candidate will have: 4–6 years of experience with litigation at the core of their practice and strong academic credentials.

Responsibilities: Advise clients on day-to-day employment law compliance issues. Litigate trade secret and employee mobility matters, whistleblower claims (including SOX and Dodd-Frank), wrongful termination, employment discrimination and harassment, and pay disputes. Defend companies in complex state and federal employment litigation, including wage and hour, discrimination, and pay equity class, collective, and representative actions. Conduct workplace investigations involving senior executives and other employees. Perform employment law due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions. Negotiate executive employment, separation, and related agreements. Manage litigation matters on a day-to-day basis with limited supervision. Draft and argue substantive briefs and motions. Take and defend depositions with limited supervision. Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications: 4–6 years of relevant employment and labor litigation experience. Strong academic credentials. Significant experience handling employment litigation and advising clients on employment law matters. Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and client relationship skills. Experience drafting and arguing substantive motions and briefs. Deposition experience, including taking and defending depositions. Trial experience preferred but not required. Admission to the state bar where practicing or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Salary: $235,000–$310,000 annually, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and other factors, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
