CNC Machinist, Mill Setup: First Shift

What You'll Do: Setup & Operation: Completes comprehensive setups on multi-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. G-Code Editing: Performs manual G-code edits, program checkouts, and adjustments directly at the machine control. Blueprint Reading: Interprets complex blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical documentation. Quality Inspection: Utilizes precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect first-piece and in-process components to maintain tight tolerances. Tooling Management: Selects correct tooling, calculates speeds and feeds for various raw materials, and manages tool wear offsets.

Experience: Requires a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers (Haas controls preferred).

Technical Skills: Possesses a proven ability to read and edit G-code at the machine controller without supervision. Autonomy: Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently on low-volume, high-mix custom parts (runs typically range from 1 to 300 pieces).Work Ethic: Requires strong problem-solving skills, close attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude suited for a small production shop.
