FOLDED. is a locally owned neighborhood laundromat in Glenview that we’re working to transform into a cleaner, more modern, and more convenient laundry experience for the community. What You’ll Do:
As a Laundromat Attendant at FOLDED, you’ll help create a clean, welcoming, and reliable laundry experience for every customer. You’ll play an important role in keeping daily operations running smoothly while delivering friendly, attentive service in a modern neighborhood laundromat, and ensuring every customer has a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Welcome customers, answer questions, assist with laundry machines, and provide helpful guidance to ensure a positive experience.
Wash, Dry & Fold Services: Receive customer orders, weigh and tag laundry, follow special instructions, and wash, dry, and neatly fold garments according to FOLDED’s quality standards.
Facility Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment by wiping down machines, sanitizing folding tables, cleaning floors, and keeping customer areas tidy.
Equipment Monitoring: Monitor washers and dryers to ensure they are operating properly and promptly report maintenance issues or malfunctions.
Payments & Transactions: Process customer payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and follow established cash-handling procedures.
Daily Operations: Help keep laundry supplies stocked, maintain an organized workspace, and support other tasks as needed to ensure smooth store operations.
Schedule & Opportunity:
Have a predictable work schedule with consistent days and hours. We are currently hiring for the following part-time coverage, with additional shifts expected to become available as the business grows. Monday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PMMonday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PMSaturday & Sunday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PMWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, keeping spaces clean and organized, and working independently while being part of a team. Previous experience in a laundromat, Wash & Fold service, hospitality, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not required. We’re happy to train the right person who has a great attitude and is willing to learn.
