Your first PT job matters. You spent years learning how to become a physical therapist. Your first job shouldn’t simply teach you how to see more patients faster. Desert Edge Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient orthopedic practice in Peoria, Arizona. We’re currently looking for one physical therapist to join our team, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. We want to develop excellent clinicians while providing excellent care. That means creating an environment where therapists can think, ask questions, build relationships with patients, receive feedback, and continue getting better throughout their careers. What it’s like to practice here Our therapists work with a broad orthopedic population in a team-based environment focused on skilled care, clinical reasoning, patient education, exercise progression, and meaningful patient relationships. We believe excellent patient care and a healthy, sustainable private practice can coexist. We are intentional about building a clinical model that supports both. Our purpose is simple: We help people live full and purposeful lives. We make life better. Our core values are Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Friendliness, and Professionalism. For new graduates We know graduation is just the beginning of becoming the clinician you want to be. You’ll work alongside experienced physical therapists, including an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, with opportunities to ask questions, discuss challenging cases, receive feedback, and continue developing your clinical reasoning, communication, manual therapy skills, and exercise prescription. We won’t expect you to know everything on day one. We will expect you to be curious, coachable, dependable, willing to take ownership of your patients, and committed to getting better. Schedule This is a full-time, five-day-per-week position. The schedule includes some later clinical hours during the week so we can serve patients who cannot easily attend physical therapy during traditional working hours. There is no routine weekend schedule. Who we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who: Wants to become an excellent clinician Is curious and comfortable asking questions Is receptive to feedback Communicates and connects well with patients Takes ownership of their responsibilities Values being part of a team Is interested in outpatient orthopedic care Why Desert Edge? We’re still small enough that your voice matters. You’ll know the people making the decisions, understand why we’re making them, and have an opportunity to contribute as the practice grows. We’re not trying to become a high-volume PT mill. We’re building a strong private practice where excellent clinicians can provide meaningful care, continue growing professionally, support one another, and enjoy being part of the community we’ve created. If that sounds like the kind of place where you’d like to begin, or continue, your career, we’d like to meet you.
