Steel Shear OperatorCardinal Staffing Services is hiring Steel Shear Operator for a well-known and respected manufacturer in Perrysburg, OH. The Shear Operator is responsible for setting up and operating metal-cutting equipment to accurately cut and process sheet or heavy metal according to job specifications. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation ($17/hour) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).Available shift: 1st shift 6:30AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday. Overtime on Friday 6:30AM to 3PM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate steel shears and metal-cutting equipmentMeasure and cut metal to specified dimensionsRead and follow work orders, blueprints, or production specificationsInspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and qualitySafely load, position, and handle metal materialsMake basic machine adjustments as neededMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all company safety procedures and PPE requirementsWork efficiently to meet production goals and deadlinesPerform other production duties as neededRequirements and Qualifications: Previous experience operating a shear, metal-cutting equipment, or similar machinery is preferredManufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plusAbility to read measurements and use basic measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to safely handle and move metal materialsDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to workplace safetyCompany requires all employees to wear steel toe footwearAbout Cardinal Staffing Services: At Cardinal Staffing, a Surestaff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
