Job Description:
  • Job Description
  • Safely tarp loads on 18-wheel tractor-trailer trucks.
  • Properly position, unfold, secure, and remove heavy-duty tarps.
  • Inspect tarps, straps, chains, and other load-securing equipment for damage or excessive wear.
  • Ensure loads are completely covered and properly protected from weather and road conditions.
  • Assist with securing cargo using straps, chains, binders, and other approved equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate with truck drivers, yard personnel, and supervisors regarding load conditions and securing requirements.
  • Report damaged cargo, tarps, equipment, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Perform other yard and loading-related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy tarps and equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders, trailer surfaces, and truck platforms safely.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, pull, and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to work safely around moving trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and following required fall-protection procedures.
