Vice President / General Manager – Aerospace Manufacturer

Summary:
We're an aerospace electronics manufacturer with full in-house design-to-production capability and approximately $120M in annual revenue, is seeking a Vice President / General Manager to own full P&L and day-to-day operational performance at one of their manufacturing sites. This is a senior site leadership role reporting to executive/group leadership, with accountability across Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales & Business Development, Product Support, Finance, and HR.About the Business The site designs and manufactures electronic control systems and interface solutions for commercial and business aviation platforms, with end-to-end manufacturing and aftermarket/product support capabilities under one roof.
Key Responsibilities:- Own full P&L performance — revenue, bookings, operating income, cash flow, working capital, headcount — against the annual operating plan
- Lead the functional leadership team; drive accountability, succession planning, and organizational development
- Oversee engineering and program execution from proposal through certification and entry into service
- Drive operational excellence across production, supply chain, and continuous improvement
- Ensure quality/regulatory compliance (AS9100D, applicable FAA/international airworthiness requirements, export controls)
- Serve as executive escalation point for key customers; drive commercial growth and aftermarket performance
- Partner with HR on talent and organizational effectiveness
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or operations (advanced degree preferred)12+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace, avionics, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing, including senior site/business-unit P&L ownership of $50M+Experience leading engineering-intensive, low-volume/high-mix development within a self-contained manufacturing environment Working knowledge of FAA/international airworthiness requirements, AS9100, and export-control compliance Domestic/international travel required; valid passport required If you're an executive leader overseeing a $50M+ P&L and are looking for your next role within a well established mil/aero manufacturing facility, reach out directly at chris@skylimit-systems.com or send me a DM.
