ASL Paraeducator

Position: ASL Paraeducator / Interpreter (Primary Grades)

Schedule: Part‑time, 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Hours: 16.25 per week

Location: Rochester, WA

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated ASL Paraeducator or Interpreter to support a primary‑age student in an inclusive classroom setting. The ideal candidate will provide communication access, foster student independence, and collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities: Provide daily ASL interpretation and support for a primary‑age student. Assist with classroom instruction, activities, and peer interaction. Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies. Support student engagement, social development, and academic participation.

Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).Experience working with young children in educational settings preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
