Maintenance Worker

Walmart is seeking a General Maintenance associate to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational store environment. In this role, you’ll perform routine building, fixtures, and equipment inspections; complete minor repairs; respond to maintenance requests; and support safety and cleanliness standards across sales floors, backrooms, and exterior areas. You’ll work with vendors as needed, follow preventive maintenance schedules, and use basic tools and systems to log work. Perform routine inspections of store facilities, fixtures, and equipment Complete minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry within scope of role Respond to and prioritize daily maintenance and repair requests Maintain clean, safe sales floors, restrooms, backrooms, and exterior areas Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document completed work Operate basic hand and power tools safely and correctly Support store safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards Collaborate with store leadership and associates on maintenance needs Coordinate with external vendors and technicians when required Adhere to Walmart policies, safety rules, and reporting procedures General building maintenance Basic plumbing repair Basic electrical troubleshooting Carpentry and fixture repair Preventive maintenance scheduling Use of hand and power tools Work order and maintenance logging Safety and OSHA compliance Vendor and contractor coordination Time management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k OSHA 10 or similar safety training preferred Basic electrical, plumbing, or HVAC coursework a plus Forklift or lift equipment certification preferred Driver’s license may be required depending on location
