About Amelia RiskAmelia Risk is a women-owned insurance brokerage in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a niche expertise on high-growth companies in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG). We’re growing our team and looking for an experienced Account Manager to own client relationships and help our clients stay properly covered as they scale.
About the Role:
As an Account Manager, you’ll be the primary point of contact for a book of commercial clients — owning their coverage, their renewals, and their day-to-day service. You’ll analyze policies, identify gaps, market accounts to carriers, and present recommendations directly to clients. You’ll also partner closely with our producer team to place new lines of business on existing accounts, and direct our operations support team on certificates and data entry so you can focus on higher-value advisory work. This is a role for someone who is self-sufficient and confident as an AM.
What You’ll Do:- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of commercial clients
- Review policies and conduct coverage analysis — identify gaps and recommend solutions
- Manage the full renewal cycle: gather updated exposures, market and remarket accounts to carriers, negotiate terms, and prepare and present proposals
- Partner with the producer to place new and additional lines of business on existing clients
- Oversee certificate issuance and AMS accuracy, directing operations support staff on routine processing
- Maintain accurate, complete records in our agency management system (currently Nexsure, migrating to Applied Epic in early 2027)
- Respond to client and carrier requests with accuracy and urgency
What We’re Looking For:- Active resident Property & Casualty broker-agent license in your home state (required)
- 3–5+ years of commercial lines account management experience at an agency or brokerage
- Self-sufficient and confident managing a book independently — comfortable owning client relationships start to finish
- Solid coverage knowledge across lines such as general liability/products liability, property, cyber, professional liability, management liability, and workers’ comp. Working knowledge of cargo, stock throughput and product recall is a plus.
- Comfortable working in an AMS and quick to learn new software
- Excellent written and verbal communication — concise and client-ready
- Highly organized and deadline-driven Location & Schedule This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates across the U.S. We have a strong preference for Pacific or Mountain time zones to align with our team’s working hours.
