About the Role:
Are you a foodie? Do you love thinking about what you are making for dinner? Battistoni Italian Specialty Meats has been around for 95 years and we are looking for someone to help maintain a clean environment for our artisan meat production facility. We make pepperoni, salamis and other artisan specialty meats. This year, the company was taken over by a new team that is focused on eliminating preservatives from everything we make. The energy in the building is pretty amazing. Cup and Char Pepperoni Inc is seeking a dependable, hardworking Sanitation Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food production equipment, utensils, and facility areas to maintain a safe and sanitary food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and food contact surfaces according to established protocols
- Perform deep cleaning of processing floors, walls, drains, and facility areas throughout shifts
- Mix, handle, and apply cleaning chemicals and sanitizing solutions safely and correctly
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations at all times
- Inspect and verify cleanliness of areas before and after production runs
- Remove waste, dispose of trash, and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility
- Document sanitation activities and report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
Requirements:- Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial, or food manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and GMP guidelines is a plus
- Ability to handle and safely use industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
- Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
