NICU Registered Nurse

Memorial Health in Savannah, GA is seeking an experienced RN for our Level III NICU on a PRN basis. The NICU RN provides specialized, evidence-based care to critically ill and premature newborns, performing ongoing assessments, managing ventilators and IV therapies, and responding to neonatal emergencies. You will collaborate closely with neonatologists and an interdisciplinary team, educate and support families, and maintain the highest standards of safety, infection control, and documentation. Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU Continuously assess, monitor, and document infant conditions and vital signs Administer medications, IV therapies, and feeding per physician orders and NICU protocols Operate and troubleshoot NICU equipment including ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps Educate and support parents and families on infant care, treatment plans, and discharge preparation Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care Maintain strict infection control, safety, and quality standards in the NICU environment Respond to neonatal emergencies and participate in resuscitation and stabilization as needed Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives Ensure accurate charting and handoff communication between shifts Neonatal intensive care nursing Ventilator management Neonatal assessment and monitoring Medication administration and IV therapy NICU equipment operation Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Infection prevention and control Family and patient education Interdisciplinary care coordination Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in GA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Previous Level II/III NICU experience preferred
