Job Responsibilities: ? Conduct age appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physicalexamination in accordance with current standards of professional practice, regulatoryrequirements and agency policies and procedures.? Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing onphysiological, psycho-social, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/familyeducation, family involvement, and patient advocacy? Assesses patients conditions and age-specific medical needs; sets goals and prescribesappropriate clinical interventions to meet these goals.? Prescribes appropriate laboratory and diagnosis procedures related to patients healthstatus and facilitates appropriate treatment intervention predicated on results of theseprocedures.? Provides comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age orsex, on continuing basis: Examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment.? Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities and achieves productivitygoals. Examination of patients, formulation differential diagnostic plans, defines andorders required diagnostic testing.? Interpretation of examination findings and test results, and implementation of treatmentplans.? Determines need for consultation and assists in medical care and treatment provided atthe direction of other specialists.? Answering patient telephone consults with the assistance of clinic staff.? Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provideinformation on patients condition.? Maintains accurate and detailed medical records about each patient, includingobservations during examinations (via EMR).? Administers or prescribes treatments and medications.? Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods forprevention of disease.? Writes orders to inoculates and vaccinate patients to immunize patients fromcommunicable diseases.? Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patientswell-being.? Works continually to assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner.? Prepares records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordancewith established procedures.?
