StreamU is hiring a Head of Stream Production at Cal Berkeley to own the quality of every live stream our team produces. This role is for someone who lives and breathes live streaming — the technology behind it, the culture around it, and the instinct for what actually lands on-air. The mission is straightforward: make sure every stream is planned, high-quality, and technically dialed in. That means owning the details before going live — scouting locations, confirming connectivity, and building the run of show — and being on point during the stream to catch and solve problems the moment they surface. It also means being the voice of reason on what is and isn’t possible in a live environment, both technically and creatively. This is a great fit for an early-career candidate — graduating students and young professionals are encouraged to apply, as is anyone with strong hands‑on streaming experience. Run Point During Live Streams: Be present at planned streams in person or remotely, monitoring in real time and solving technical issues the instant they arise. W H A T YO U B R I N G

A defining part of this role is being the person who knows what will and won’t work — and saying soEarly. That Shows Up In Three Ways Technical Feasibility When someone lines up a collab with a large creator and wants something that isn’t possible from a technical streaming standpoint, you catch it, flag it, and problem-solve a path forward. Audience FitWhen a concept won’t track with Twitch or Kick audiences, you identify it early and help reshape it into something the community will actually respond to. Creative Instinct When an idea simply isn’t native to the streaming space, you flag it and either make it fit the communities our team is building for, or pivot toward a stronger lateral idea. We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
