Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging baking and pastry arts lessons tailored to PreK through High School studentsTeach foundational and advanced baking techniques including bread making, cake decorating, and pastry preparationMaintain a safe, clean, and well-organized culinary classroom and kitchen environmentAssess and evaluate student progress through hands-on baking projects and demonstrationsDevelop age-appropriate curriculum aligned with culinary arts education standardsIntroduce students to food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen equipment usageFoster creativity, teamwork, and a love of culinary arts in students of all ages Requirements: Experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary fieldPrior teaching or instructional experience, preferably in a K-12 or culinary education settingStrong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food science fundamentalsAbility to differentiate instruction for a wide range of age groups and skill levelsFood Handler's Certification or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Excellent classroom management and communication skillsPassion for mentoring young students and inspiring a lifelong love of cooking and baking About Us: Our PreK-High School Culinary Arts program in Garden City, NY is dedicated to building culinary skills, creativity, and confidence in students from the very earliest grades through graduation.
