Our client is a top manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing solutions in North America, operating 30 locations throughout the U.S. They offer a range of products for both commercial and residential roofing, along with pavement coatings.
Job Summary:
- The Digital Marketing team is seeking an organized, proactive Website Operations Manager.
- This role serves as a key point of contact between business stakeholders and IT, facilitating website execution and technical delivery.
- As a self-starter and practical problem solver, the candidate will translate business requirements into actionable user stories, manage Jira sprint priorities, and help optimize digital platforms for peak efficiency.
- Essential DutiesSprint & Backlog Management
- Facilitate the Agile planning cadence in Jira.
- Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear user stories.
- Prioritize tickets for upcoming development sprints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with IT to plan sprint capacity.
Track deliverables and clear everyday blockers.
Maintain steady progress toward digital goals.
Requirements & Solution Alignment:
Gather business requirements.
Work alongside technical teams to identify practical and efficient solutions for website enhancements.
Translate business objectives into technical implementation requirements.
Web Governance & Ticketing:
Monitor website health.
Triage incoming user and stakeholder requests.
Manage ticket prioritization and escalation activities.
Technical SEO & AEO Execution:
- Support technical SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) initiatives.
- Monitor and optimize site speed and performance.
- Support URL structure optimization.
- Support Schema markup implementation for search engines including Google and Bing.
- Optimize content discoverability across AI platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
- Qualifications3–5 years of experience coordinating or managing web delivery in a cross-functional environment.
- Hands-on experience working directly with IT teams.
- Experience writing clear user stories and managing sprint cycles in Jira.
- Strong foundational understanding of Agile and Scrum practices including:
- Backlog grooming.
- Sprint planning.
- Sprint retrospectives.
- Familiarity with enterprise CMS platforms.
- Sitecore experience is a plus.
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 to analyze page performance and inform ticket priorities.
- Exposure to web tools and integrations including:
Chatbots.
Localization tools.
Customer review platforms.
SEO and AEO technologies.
Working knowledge of web deployment workflows including testing in UAT and production environments.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts into actionable project tasks.
Strong organizational skills.
Customer-first mindset.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
