Machine Shop HelperWe are seeking a dependable Machine Shop Helper to assist with daily operations in a custom machine shop environment. This is an entry-level position that will support machinists and other shop personnel with material handling, machine shop cleanup, basic production tasks, and general shop duties. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and able to work safely in an industrial environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist machinists with loading, unloading, and moving materials and parts.
Prepare materials, tools, and supplies for machining and fabrication projects.
Operate basic hand and power tools as directed.
Assist with measuring, deburring, grinding, and finishing parts.
Keep machines, work areas, and tools clean and organized.
Help with packaging, labeling, and staging completed parts.
Follow instructions from machinists, supervisors, and other shop personnel.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other general machine shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous machine shop or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to use basic hand tools.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move materials and parts as needed.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, noise, dust, and metal
be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pay: $17.00 per hour.
