Senior Pastor at Community Baptist Coweta

ABOUT US: We are a community of believers built around the cross who exists to point people to the cross, for that is where we find our identity, our purpose, our redemption, and our freedom. At Community, you will find just that, a community! We are a church of real people, with real hurts, real struggles, real brokenness, real problems, and real pain who have experienced and are experiencing real love, real mercy, real grace, real forgiveness and real salvation from a real Savior. We love God and, as an extension of that life-transforming love He has poured into each of our hearts, we love people. Community Baptist Church became an autonomous church in August 2020 after beginning as a church plant in 2011 through a partnership between First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Since becoming autonomous, CBC has experienced incredible blessings and growth that we believe are a testimony to God’s faithfulness. Church attendance has quadrupled, and each year the church has seen an increase in salvations and baptisms compared to the previous year. God has continued to grow CBC both numerically and spiritually, and the church remains committed to reaching people with the Gospel, making disciples, and faithfully serving the community.

We desire a pastor with a shepherd’s heart who loves the congregation and cares deeply for the spiritual well-being of every generation. He should intentionally engage younger generations and young families while continuing to value, honor, and minister to senior members. Through regular fellowship and an approachable, welcoming presence, he should build relationships in which people feel comfortable sharing their joys, struggles, and questions. He should encourage and protect those entrusted to his care, walking alongside them with empathy through difficult seasons and times of celebration. We seek a pastor who provides ongoing discipleship, mentoring, and spiritual oversight for church staff and members. When difficult situations arise, he should prayerfully seek God’s wisdom and exercise sound judgment with compassion.
