Role Overview:
This position leads daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff are trained, fully staffed, and operating according to company standards to meet performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory ordering, maintenance, and quality control to ensure product freshness and proper storage.
Oversee receipt validation, stock replenishment, and handling of damaged products.
Maintain product knowledge, monitor sales features, and execute weekly plans.
Ensure adherence to food safety and safety guidelines, taking corrective actions as needed.
Develop staff schedules, control labor costs, and manage payroll expenses.
Lead team development through staffing, training, performance management, and career growth.
Develop and monitor departmental goals and forecasts.
Participate in meetings and communicate plans effectively.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, ensuring compliance with standards.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
Two years retail experience and one year supervisory experience.
Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Leadership ability, strategic planning, and retail management knowledge.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of retail systems.
Depending on location, Spanish proficiency is desirable.
