Both parents recently stepped into new full-time roles—one working from home and one commuting to an office—so our family is in a season of exciting transition and finding our new rhythm. We are thoughtful, values-driven parents who care deeply about the environment we create for our son, and we are looking for someone who can bring a sense of calm, consistency, and structure to our home. We know our household thrives with structured systems in place. We are excited to welcome someone who enjoys creating those systems and helping family life feel a little more organized and intentional. Our almost-5-year-old has a big heart, lots of personality, he is very much at the center of our home. When he is home, we want the focus to shift to him—helping him transition from school, engaging in activities, connecting through play, and creating routines that help him feel supported and successful. Connection matters more to us than simply checking boxes; we want him to look forward to whomever we bring on for this role, and someone who will help him enjoy exploring and trying new things. We care more about connection than checked boxes. We'd rather he beg for five more minutes with you than watch the clock. We want someone who brings their own ideas to the table, communicates clearly and directly, and has strong professional boundaries — while also being warm enough that our son considers you his person. If you read this and thought "yes, that's exactly the kind of family I want to grow with" — we'd love to hear from you. Who You Are / What We're Looking ForYou are goofy, playful, and genuinely excited to get down on the floor and be a velociraptor with him. You can follow him into whatever imaginative world he's built that day and add to it instead of simply watching from the sidelines. You're light-hearted, open-minded, creative, and kind — the kind of person he lights up around and looks forward to seeing. At the same time, you're someone who thrives with structure. You're naturally detail oriented — you see what needs to happen and just do it, enjoy building systems, and take pride in keeping a household running smoothly. But you also understand that every system exists to serve him and the family, not the other way around. You can take our lead on what we value and then run with it — bringing us ideas, noticing what needs attention, taking initiative, and treating our household with the same level of care and ownership you would your own. You're looking for a family you can put down roots with. You want to grow alongside our son as he grows and build a role that becomes more central to our family over time. You understand that success means helping create the space for us to be fully present with our son when we're together — because the house is handled, things are tidy, and everything we need for the week is already thought through and ready to go. Ultimately, your support gives us more room to connect as a couple, refill our cups, and come back with the energy to keep up with our son's big heart and even bigger activity level. He loves to run, jump, imagine, explore, and get messy — and you're someone who is excited to jump right in with him.
