Job Summary:
- · Brake press Operators at Martinrea Industrial are primarily responsible for the production of parts and assemblies that meet customer requirements in quality and output in a safe fashion.
- Required Education & Experience
- Experience with Metal Fabrication an asset
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring toolsAbility to identify and change Brake Press toolsAbility to work independently or with supervision
- Capable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table level
- Mathematical aptitude
- Essential Functions/Competency LevelMust work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Martinrea Industrial rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by Martinrea
- Must ensure machine safety rules are followed (light curtains, guarding, etc. Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time providedAssure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirementsBend parts according to provided drawings and specifications
- Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required
- Program, set up Machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality
- Interface with Quality and Engineering
- Maintain proper Martinrea housekeeping standards
- Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers
