Refurbishment Truck Mechanic

Rebuild and refurbish heavy-duty diesel tank trucks at the Elgin facility. Work on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and wiring systems, including PTOs, vacuum pumps and drive shafts. Follow safety procedures, document work electronically and help maintain an orderly shop. Rebuild and refurbish heavy-duty diesel tank trucks and fleet assets. Repair, rebuild and install drive shafts, PTOs, vacuum pumps, hydraulic systems and electrical systems. Follow safety practices and participate in inspections and toolbox talks. Record time, parts and inspection checklists in electronic systems. Move company equipment safely around the yard and shop. Maintain a clean, orderly shop and report hazards or near misses.
