This is a great opportunity for an experienced phlebotomist looking for a consistent part-time schedule in a research-focused environment.
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist will perform venipuncture and collect blood and other biological specimens from healthy volunteers to support laboratory research activities. The selected candidate will work closely with research and laboratory staff while following approved protocols, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to provide a positive experience for research volunteers.
Position Details
Schedule: Flexible- Per Diem
Pay Rate: $35/hour
Contract Length: 12 months, renewable
Work Environment:

- Perform venipuncture and collect research specimens in accordance with approved protocols.
- Schedule donors, manage sample requests, and maintain volunteer information in electronic systems.
- Obtain informed consent, answer volunteer questions, and protect confidentiality.
- Accurately document, track, and archive records in line with SOPs and FDA requirements.
- Complete quarterly lab safety checks and report concerns promptly.
- Follow applicable GxP, FDA, EHSS, OSHA, HIPAA, and IRB requirements; maintain current First Aid/CPR
under supervision with day-to-day independence and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Certified Phlebotomist or Associates degree in Medical Technology with 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
Experience with venipuncture and blood or research specimen collection.
Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and follow protocols and regulatory requirements.
Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain and maintain it.
Preferred:
Experience in clinical research, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare settings. Familiarity with electronic scheduling or clinical trial systems and relevant regulatory requirements.
