Responsibilities include:
Greeting and seating patientsAssist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in patient careAbility to build good rapport with patients and staffRemoval and placement of arch wiresTooth preparation prior to bondingTaking intraoral scansComputer chartingSterilization of chairs and instrumentsOral hygiene instructions & explanation of completed procedures to the patient and parentRequirements:
Qualifications:
Orthodontic chairside assisting experienceKnowledge in dental terminology preferredFamiliarity with dental software programsCertification in HIPAA complianceExperience in sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean environmentHighly motivated individual wanting to make a positive difference in patients livesOur offices are open Monday through Friday and full time position (4 days a week) is available. This position REQUIRES working at ALL of our 4 locations (Crown Point, Schererville, St. John, & Valparaiso) and able to work the day or evening shifts. Must be available on a rotational basis to handle minor patient comfort appointments, as needed, on a limited number of weekends per year.
