Work Environment: The Physical Therapist position is stationed onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Punta Gorda, where you will be part of a cohesive team that is dedicated to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: As a Physical Therapist at Maury Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine functional limitations and develop suitable treatment plans. Implementing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities tailored to the individual needs of each patient, continually assessing their progress. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, and referring physicians to ensure a seamless continuum of patient care. Documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately within our EHR system, adhering to legal, regulatory, and professional standards. Providing education to patients and their families regarding treatment goals and self-management strategies to support recovery. Participating in community outreach initiatives and enhancing your own professional development through ongoing education and training. Collaborating with support staff and students, ensuring adequate supervision and guidance as they develop their skills. Patient Population / Client FocusYou will work primarily with orthopedic patients who may have undergone surgery, suffered injuries, or deal with chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on tailoring rehabilitation approaches to address the specific needs of these patients, helping them regain strength, mobility, and independence.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, coupled with solid computer and word processing abilities.

Preferred Experience: While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with experience in a rehabilitation facility or working with a diverse patient population will be given additional consideration. Familiarity with evidence-based practice and a strong commitment to continuous professional development are also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits: This Full-Time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
