Franchise Business Coach

Company Overview: French Florist is a floral boutique reimagining what it means to give and receive flowers. Our handcrafted arrangements are designed by expert florists using the highest-quality blooms from the best farms around the world. Whether for celebration, connection, or simply delight, our flowers do more than decorate—they elevate and transform moments. With thriving corporate boutiques in Los Angeles and a rapidly expanding franchise network nationwide, French Florist is on a mission to create a more loving and compassionate world through flowers. We don’t just deliver arrangements—we deliver emotion, meaning, and magic. Our franchise owners are held to an exceptional standard of care with every client they serve. We hold ourselves to that same standard with them.

Role Summary: The Franchise Business Coach (FBC) owns the franchise owner relationship from grand opening through the life of the business — differently than anyone else in franchising. Most field roles audit compliance and chase numbers. This one coaches the whole owner: the business and the person building it. The FBC is equal parts operator and mentor. You coach a P&L and a founder’s mindset in the same visit. You hold owners to an exceptional operational standard through disciplined EOS® coaching, structured field visits, and hands-on performance management — while keeping them connected to why they bought a French Florist in the first place: the wealth, the freedom, and the life they’re building. The FBC is accountable for franchisee success after opening, running the coaching cadence, systems, and accountability structures that turn training into execution and new boutiques into thriving businesses — and, over time, handing off confident, multi-unit-ready owners to Franchise Development for their next location. This leader delivers a coaching experience that reflects the French Florist brand: thoughtful, elevated, highly organized, and relationship-driven. The FBC reports to the VP of Franchise Operations and partners closely with the Opening team, Learning & Development, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing to ensure franchisees get consistent, high-caliber support from every corner of HQ.Key Responsibilities1. Business Coaching & EOS Implementation Serve as the primary business coach and trusted advisor for an assigned portfolio of franchise owners. Run EOS® disciplines in the field — quarterly and annual planning, scorecards, Rocks, and issue-solving — to help franchisees set and reach ambitious, realistic goals, using EOS software (e.g., Ninety.io, Bloom Growth) to track progress. Translate company systems, training, and standards into successful day-to-day execution. Facilitate accountability conversations that are direct, supportive, and focused on outcomes. Own a territory performance dashboard, providing the VP of Franchise Operations with forecasts, performance summaries, risk flags, and recommendations.2. Field Visits & Operational Excellence Conduct regular on-site visits, business reviews, and operational assessments across the assigned territory. Host structured pre- and post-visit meetings with clear agendas, documented outcomes, and action plans. Evaluate the client experience and operational execution against brand standards, and coach owners and their teams to close the gap. Provide hands-on support during openings and key brand events.3. Financial & Performance Analysis Analyze KPIs, income statements, and other financial data to identify opportunities for improved profitability and cash flow. Develop and drive action plans that move the needle on revenue, margin, and operational efficiency. Monitor franchisee performance against benchmarks and escalate significant concerns when necessary. Partner with Compliance and Finance on documentation, collections, and compliance needs.4. Training Reinforcement & Brand Standards Reinforce standards and training through coaching, observation, and in-field practice — the bridge between what franchisees learn and what they execute. Monitor completion of required learning pathways and certifications, and assess retention during site visits. Flag learning gaps to Learning & Development. Support the transition from pre-opening training into confident, independent operations.5. Whole-Owner Coaching & Relationships Coach the whole owner — the business and the person running it. Understand each owner’s goals and definition of success, and connect their day-to-day execution back to the life and wealth they’re building. Build genuine, high-trust relationships — the kind that make owners pick up the phone before they’re in trouble, not after. Practice radical candor: say the hard thing early because you care about the owner’s success. No sugarcoating, no avoidance. Coach owners as leaders — helping them grow, delegate, build teams, and lead with confidence — while staying in the lane of a business coach, not a personal or clinical one. Deliver the same attentiveness, responsiveness, and care to franchisees that we expect them to deliver to their clients. Act as a first point of contact for franchisee questions, resolving what you can and escalating the rest quickly and clearly.6. Cross-Functional Partnership & Field Insight Bring field insight back to HQ — trends, franchisee feedback, and ways to sharpen playbooks and support. Partner with Marketing to help franchisees test and refine local marketing and revenue strategies, then share what works systemwide. Help every function at HQ understand what franchisees are actually experiencing in the field. Success Measures What success looks like in the first 6–12 months and beyond:

Operational Outcomes: Consistent completion of EOS® disciplines (scorecards, Rocks, quarterly sessions) across your portfolio. Strong operational compliance and brand consistency across your territory. Training and certification compliance rates trending up.

Business Impact: Franchise locations in your territory meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability targets. Measurable improvement in franchisee KPIs quarter over quarter. High franchisee satisfaction and NPS scores, reflected in retention and willingness to expand.

Leadership & Collaboration: Franchisees describe you as a true partner — not an auditor or fixer of trivial issues. Owners grow as leaders on your watch — more confident, more capable, and clearer on the life and business they’re building. Fast, thoughtful follow-through on every commitment made in the field. Field insights that visibly improve HQ playbooks and systems.

Physical Requirements: Ability to travel regularly for site visits, business reviews, training, conferences, and grand openings. Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods. Ability to stand and walk through boutiques for extended periods during site visits. Ability to communicate effectively via video conferencing, phone, and in-person meetings. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for business travel.

What Makes This Role Exciting: This isn’t a compliance role with a clipboard. You’ll be the coach who helps owners build a business and a life — the reason they hit their numbers and the reason they’re still glad they bet on themselves three years in. Ground-floor ownership of a territory as French Florist scales its franchise network nationally. Direct, visible influence on franchisee success — you will watch businesses (and people) grow because of your coaching. High visibility with executive leadership and a real seat at the table. A mission-driven brand built on beauty, craftsmanship, and connection. Room to grow into senior field leadership as the network expands.
