Sr. Systems Designer

The duties and responsibilities of a Sr. Systems Designer include but are not limited to: Ability to design a variety of basic to complex network cabling infrastructure, security systems, and audio-visual systems using AutoCAD and Revit. Have the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design. Reviews the development of designs for compliance with applicable codes, adopted engineering standards, and good engineering practices. Cross-discipline coordination of MEPT components within Revit. Facilitate production of construction documents (drawing and specifications) for new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities. Communicating effectively with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of low-voltage and audio-visual building systems. Building and maintaining positive client relationships. Ability to write and edit design specifications. Conduct field surveys to determine existing project conditions. Conduct construction site visits to ensure systems are installed per drawings and specifications. Respond to contractor RFIs and review project shop drawings/submittals. Qualifications and Education Requirements Two-year or four-year accredited program in architecture, engineering, or related field of study Minimum of seven years’ experience in the building design industry High school diploma Valid Driver’s license Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
