Work Environment: As a remote position, this role offers you the flexibility to work from home while being part of a collaborative and supportive team rooted in compassionate care. You'll adhere to a structured work schedule, providing services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that is essential for your personal well-being as well as that of our clients.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents to evaluate their emotional and psychological needs. Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to address the unique emotional challenges faced by seniors. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to create thorough, client-centered care plans that reflect the specific needs and goals of geriatric clients. Educate families and staff on effective strategies for improving the emotional health of elderly individuals, promoting holistic approaches to mental wellness. Lead counseling sessions focused on grief and loss, helping residents and their families cope with end-of-life issues and transitions. Design and implement cognitive enhancement programs and therapeutic interventions to maintain and improve mental acuity among older adults. Patient Population / Client FocusYou will primarily work with seniors coping with various mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment disorders, and feelings of isolation. Your ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds with empathy, cultural awareness, and sensitivity will be crucial in fostering a trusting therapeutic environment.

Qualifications: A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution. A current, valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification. A minimum of three years of recent, relevant experience in geriatric counseling or mental health support, with a strong focus on working with older adults.

Preferred Experience: Specialization or additional training in geriatric mental health, aging-related challenges, and evidence-based interventions. Demonstrated experience providing counseling services to elderly clients with varying mental health conditions. A thorough understanding of the ethical and legal standards related to mental health counseling in this demographic.

Compensation and Benefits: The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 105,000 annually, providing a competitive salary enhanced by a potential sign-on bonus.
