APPLY NOW (opens in a new tab)Estimator / Project Manager A steel fabricator and erector serving Kansas City, Kansas, is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager to win and deliver structural and miscellaneous steel packages. This role suits an early- to mid-career professional who wants real ownership of jobs from the first takeoff to final erection.
Your day-to-day:
- Coordinate general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews so work moves smoothly
- Build takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel packages
- Manage RFIs and submittals and keep a close eye on project costs
- Prepare bids and proposals, gathering quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
- Guide awarded projects through fabrication and erection, owning schedule, budget, and change orders
What we're looking for:
- Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes 2-8 years of steel estimating, project management, or related construction experience
- Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
- Solid skills reading structural and architectural drawings
- Estimating software experience is a plus
Compensation:
$75,000 - $105,000 per year, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates coming from competitors.
